Although most retailers have not announced any offers yet, shoppers can keep up with brands’ social media accounts and websites for early bird deals and sale announcements. Meanwhile, here are 10 shoe categories worth considering this Black Friday: 

Running shoes
Last year, Adidas offered Black Friday deals and an additional 30% off on select running shoes. One can keep an eye out for Adidas holiday season sales this year. ASICS also offered 30% off on the purchase to those who signed up for OneASIC. Additionally, the brand’s Women’s Gel-Venture 7 running shoes, which were originally selling for $70, were discounted to $50 during the sale. Nike customers could save up to 60% off upon using the code BLACKFRIDAY last year, while other brands like Under Armour, Road Runner Sports, Xero, Reebok, New Balance, and Feiyue offered similar deals. 

Boots
Some of the stores that previously offered discounted boots were Macy’s, Kohl’s, Mountain Warehouse, Ledebut, Poshmark, Walmart, and Princess Polly US, among many others. Timberland also ran a sale last year. Additionally, JCPenny, Mercari, and Guess Factory are a few other brands worth considering this holiday season.

Sneakers
Last Black Friday, one of the popular products in the casual sneaker category was the Adidas Adizero Boston 10, which was priced at $56 on Amazon with the pre-sale price being $140. The Saucony Omni 20 Running shoes carried a $59 discount, and Nike offered a $21 discount on its React Infinity Run Flyknit 3 last shopping season. Additionally, Nordstrom, Allbirds, Target, REI, Zappos, and Dick’s Sporting Goods are worth considering for deals on casual sneakers.

Athleisure shoes
These are comfortable shoes that are ideal for work and the gym. Last Black Friday, the Adidas Women’s Edge Lux Running Shoe, which originally cost $85, was sold for $50. Under the women’s shoes section, Ecco Women’s Soft Slip-On Boot sold at a discounted price of $87. Other products on sale last year were the Nike Waffle One shoes, which were sold at a 50% discount with the sale price being $58.

Adidas typically offers a dedicated sale section to platforms; here, some of the popular products include the Nizza Platform shoes, Forum Bold shoes, Nizza Bonega Mid shoes, and Adilette Platform shoes. Shoppers can find many other products featured on the page with discounts ranging from 10 to 60% each Black Friday, making it easy to browse through top deals. 

Sandals
Those looking for slides and sandals should also wait for the big sale day to find great deals. For instance, previously, Adidias offered Adilette Comfort Sandals and Adicane Slides at a discount.

Hiking and outdoor shoes
Amazon offered great shopping season deals on hiking and outdoor shoes last year; for example, the Merrell Women’s Moab 2 Mid Waterproof hiking boot was sold at a $58 discount on the e-commerce website. Additionally, Backcountry was another e-store that featured discounted products on shoes from several brands. Here, KEEN Women’s Targhee III Mid Waterproof hiking boots carried a $57 dollar discount, selling for $120 last Black Friday. Salomon Women’s X Crest GTX Hiking Shoe, which was originally selling for $120, was priced at $72 during the shopping season. The Sperry Women’s Moab 2 Vent Hiking Shoe was almost 50% off, selling for $59 after the discount. Further, Vasque Men’s Sunsetter Hiking Boot carried a $64 Black Friday discount last shopping season. To find such deals this year, one can sign up for brand newsletters and keep up with their website and social media updates regarding sale announcements and early bird offers. 

Loafers
Slip-on footwear like loafers remain a popular product under men’s shoes category, with leather loafers being perfect for office wear and fabric variants being the best pick for a casual look. Last year, Mio Marino casual loafers sold at a $15 discount. 

Work shoes and boots
Timberland announced Black Friday sales on work boots last year. So, one can keep an eye out for Timberland’s sale announcement this year. Similarly, brands like Georgia Boot and Work Boots are also worth considering. Work Boots typically posts a sale announcement on its website, so interested shoppers should sign up for their newsletters or keep checking the official website every couple of days in the weeks preceding the big shopping event this year.

Dress shoes
This category also attracted many shoppers during the Black Friday sale last year, and stores like Macy’s, Allen Edmonds, Kohl’s, and Clarks US participated in the sale by offering dress shoes at discounted prices.
